The problem: Antique 3D viewing stereoscopes are hard to replace and have long been outdated. They are delicate and require careful handling, making them intimidating and inaccessible for the average person.

The Project:

A Do-It-Yourself stereoscope assembly kit that retains the experience of the antique, but introduces a more practical, replaceable, and sustainable design.

Usability Testing

Conducting product testing with multiple users to determine best path forward for final product.

Assessing ease of set-up, aesthetics, and ‘fun’ factor. Testers were asked to assess the factors on a numeric scale and then we analyzed the data to inform our final decisions.

Digital Manual and Laser Cut Template designed for accessibility and easy production across the world.

Materials needed include brass fasteners, chipboard, and 100mm focal length lenses.
